Dubai: RTA announces partial operating hours on Al Maktoum bridge till January 16

Dubai’s Al Maktoum Bridge will be undergoing essential maintenance until January 16, 2025, resulting in temporary closures during specific hours, according to the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA). Starting from October 27, the bridge—an important link for many Dubai motorists—will be closed from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m., Monday to Saturday, and for a full 24 hours on Sundays. The RTA advises motorists to plan ahead and consider alternative routes to ensure timely arrivals.

**Alternative Routes from Deira to Bur Dubai:**

– **Infinity Bridge**: Accessible via Baniyas Road, Al Khaleej Street, and Corniche Street.

– **Al Shindagha Tunnel**: Take Baniyas Road and Al Khaleej Street.

– **Al Garhoud Bridge**: Reachable through Baniyas Road and Sheikh Rashid Road.

– **Business Bay Crossing**: Access via Baniyas Road, Sheikh Rashid Road, and Rebat Street.

**Alternative Routes from Bur Dubai to Deira:**

– **Infinity Bridge or Al Shindagha Tunnel**: Use Tariq Bin Ziyad Road, Khalid Bin Al Waleed Road, and Al Khaleej Street.

– **Al Garhoud Bridge**: Connect through Oud Metha Road and Sheikh Rashid Road.

– **Business Bay Crossing**: Accessible via Oud Metha Road and Al Khail Road.
