Dubai’s 3-Day Super Sale (3DSS), running until December 2 in celebration of Eid Al Etihad, is the ideal opportunity for residents to gear up for vacations, weddings, and festive gatherings. Organised by the Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), this mega sale offers up to 90% discounts across 3,000 stores and 500 brands, covering everything from fashion, footwear, and beauty to home goods and accessories.
Vacation Shoppers Take Advantage of Deals
For many, the sale aligns perfectly with travel plans. Mohammed Abu Nael, a marketing manager flying to Amman for the long weekend, visited Mall of the Emirates for winter essentials.
“The weather in Amman is cold, and my cousins requested jackets. Thanks to the discounts, I could shop for the entire family instead of just three of them,” shared Abu Nael, who picked up items from Zara, Next, and American Eagle. His purchases ranged from Dh170 to Dh280, saving 30% to 50%. “This sale is a blessing for last-minute shoppers like me,” he added.
Similarly, Zahra Abdul Huq, a mother of two from Mirdif, is preparing for a family trip to Antalya, Turkey. Shopping at Deira City Centre, Zahra found deep discounts on backpacks, winter jackets, shoes, and warm clothing.
“I got stylish boots from Aldo for Dh280, down from Dh400, and a warm jacket for Dh300, originally Dh400. Two weeks ago, we went window shopping, and my husband suggested waiting for the sale. He was right! We saved over Dh800, turning a Dh2,000 budget into just Dh1,200,” she said.
Wedding Preparations Made Easier
For those planning weddings, like Imdad Hassan from Al Tawoon, Sharjah, the sale is a financial relief. Preparing for his December wedding, Imdad was busy at Dubai Festival City Mall, ticking off his shopping list.
“This sale has been a blessing. Weddings come with a lot of expenses. I managed to buy formal shirts and two pairs of leather shoes from Aldo and Clarks. Originally priced over Dh400 each, I got them for Dh200,” said the Indian expat.
Imdad also picked up bags from Charles & Keith and Guess for his bride. “My wedding shopping is halfway done, and I’ve saved a lot. I plan to shop for more items before the sale ends,” he added.
