Dubai Drivers: 50% Discount on Traffic Fines Across Four Emirates for UAE National Day
As part of a UAE National Day initiative, motorists in Fujairah, Ras Al Khaimah, Umm Al Quwain, and Ajman can benefit from a 50% discount on traffic fines. This initiative aims to promote road safety and encourage timely fine payments.
Fujairah
Fujairah Police announced that the discount will be applicable from December 2 for 53 days. It applies to violations committed before December 1, including the cancellation of vehicle impoundments and black points. However, the discount excludes serious traffic offences.
Ras Al Khaimah
Motorists in Ras Al Khaimah can avail themselves of a 50% fine reduction from December 1 to December 31. The discount covers violations committed before December 1 but excludes major offences.
Umm Al Quwain
Umm Al Quwain Police also announced a similar offer from December 1 to January 5, 2025, covering all violations committed before December 1, 2024. Vehicle impoundments and black points will also be cancelled under this scheme. However, serious offences remain ineligible for the discount.
Authorities are urging motorists to take advantage of this initiative, settle outstanding fines, and adhere to traffic regulations. This effort is aligned with the Ministry of Interior’s strategy to enhance road safety and customer satisfaction.
Ajman
In Ajman, a 50% discount on fines has been in effect since November 4 and will continue until December 15, 2024. The discount applies to violations committed before October 31.
These initiatives offer substantial relief for motorists across the UAE, fostering safer driving habits and reducing financial burdens ahead of the UAE’s 53rd National Day celebrations.
