Violators risk facing heavy penalties under Decree No. 30 of 2023, which allows fines of up to Dh50,000 for the release of impounded vehicles. Dubai Police has outlined specific rules to help the public stay compliant during the long weekend celebrations:
Key Safety Guidelines for Festive Celebrations
- Avoid Random Marches: Participation in unplanned marches or gatherings is strictly prohibited.
- Adhere to Traffic Laws: Follow all road regulations and respect police instructions at all times.
- No Party Sprays: The use of party sprays is banned for drivers, passengers, and pedestrians.
- License Plate Visibility: Ensure both front and rear license plates remain unobstructed.
- No Vehicle Modifications: Altering vehicle colors, tinting windshields, or adding stickers is only allowed if compliant with official Eid Al Ittihad guidelines.
- No Window Stickers: Do not cover side, front, or rear windows with stickers.
- Sunshade Regulations: Avoid using sunshades that impair visibility.
- No Stunts or Traffic Obstruction: Performing stunts or blocking roads is strictly forbidden.
- Noise Control: Refrain from making unauthorized modifications that cause excessive noise.
- Passenger Limits: Drivers must ensure the vehicle does not exceed the legal passenger limit and prohibit passengers from hanging out of windows or sunroofs.
