The UAE has strongly condemned the attack on Al-Tabi’een School in the Al-Daraj neighborhood east of Gaza City, which resulted in the deaths and injuries of numerous innocent civilians.
In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the UAE’s firm rejection of attacks on civilians and civilian infrastructure. It emphasized that the top priority must be to protect civilian lives and ensure the prompt, safe, and unrestricted delivery of humanitarian, relief, and medical aid to the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.
The ministry emphasized the urgent need for an immediate ceasefire to prevent further bloodshed, underlining that civilians and civilian institutions must be fully protected by international law and treaties, and should not be targets in the conflict.
The UAE urged the international community to make every effort to prevent further escalation in the occupied Palestinian territories and to advance all initiatives aimed at achieving a comprehensive and just peace.
According to the official Palestinian news agency, more than 100 Palestinians were killed and dozens injured in an Israeli strike on the school. The Israeli army, however, stated that the strike targeted a Hamas command center.
