Dubai & Sharjah Parking: New Variable Rate System to Take Effect in April
Motorists in Dubai will soon experience a new variable parking rate system as Parkin, the company managing Dubai’s paid parking zones, rolls out its peak and off-peak pricing—likely starting April 4.
The changes, which were previously announced, aim to improve parking management in high-density areas and support traffic flow during peak hours and major events. The revised tariff system applies to Zone A, B, C, and D, covering on-street and off-street parking across Dubai.

New High-Demand Event Parking Rates in Dubai
For areas near exhibition centers and major venues, Parkin has introduced a Dh25 per hour rate during events to manage traffic congestion.
Sharjah’s Parking System: Will It Follow?
While Dubai is implementing these changes, Sharjah also has a structured paid parking system. Though no similar peak/off-peak model has been announced for Sharjah, many expect adjustments in high-traffic areas, especially during peak business hours and Ramadan nights.
Dubai’s new parking strategy is set to optimize parking availability, reduce traffic congestion, and enhance mobility in key areas.
