UAE: 1,818 private companies violated Emiratisation laws since second half of 2022

**Dubai Companies Fined for Violating Emiratisation Laws**

The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) has uncovered 1,818 private companies violating Emiratisation laws by illegally employing citizens between mid-2022 and September 17, 2024. These companies unlawfully hired 2,784 citizens in an attempt to meet localisation targets through fictitious practices.

These violators have been classified at the lowest level in MoHRE’s system and are required to pay financial penalties in addition to meeting the actual Emiratisation targets. MoHRE is cracking down on companies attempting to evade their Emiratisation obligations and warned that individuals involved in such illegal activities will have their Nafis benefits and other financial privileges revoked.

The Ministry urged the public in Dubai and across the UAE to report any practices that conflict with Emiratisation laws by calling the hotline at 600590000 or using the Ministry’s smart app or website.

MoHRE emphasized its commitment to addressing and preventing any attempts to circumvent Emiratisation requirements, ensuring compliance with the law.
