Free Museum Entry in Sharjah for UAE National Day Celebrations
To commemorate the UAE’s 53rd National Day, all public museums in Sharjah city, Kalba, and Khorfakkan will offer free entry on December 1 and 2, announced the Sharjah Museums Authority (SMA).
Cultural Events Celebrating Emirati Heritage
The SMA has also planned an extensive lineup of cultural events and activities across its museums, running from November 23 to December 3. These initiatives aim to deepen the community’s appreciation of Emirati heritage and provide opportunities to engage with the UAE’s cultural legacy.
Key Festivities
- November 23: Festivities begin at Hisn Khorfakkan, featuring traditional performances and maritime-themed displays from 5 PM to 9 PM.
- November 26: Bait Al Naboodah will host heritage workshops, traditional games, and Emirati cuisine from 5 PM to 8 PM.
- December 1 to 3: The Sharjah Maritime Museum will offer live performances and activities for all age groups.
- December 2: Bait Sheikh Saeed bin Hamad Al Qasimi in Kalba will host a cultural celebration with exhibitions, music, and workshops from 5 PM to 10 PM.

Bait Sheikh Saeed bin Hamad Al Qasimi:
Hosting “Letters Exchanged: Correspondence of Sheikh Saeed and His Family” exhibition, running until December 31. -
Bait Al Naboodah:
Presenting “I’m in Sharjah Museums”, a showcase of student artworks inspired by Sharjah’s museums, until April 6, 2025. -
Sharjah Heritage Museum:
Featuring “Reflections and Inspirations from Emirati Heritage”, displaying 54 artworks by University of Sharjah students, until April 15, 2025. -
Sharjah Archaeology Museum:
Offering “Journey of Discoveries”, an interactive and educational exhibition for children, until May 18, 2025. -
Sharjah Museum of Islamic Civilisation:
Showcasing “Eternal Letters: Quranic Manuscripts from the Abdulrahman Al Owais Collection”, with 81 rare manuscripts, until May 25, 2025.
