Traveling to Dubai and the UAE has become easier and more cost-effective for Indian passport holders residing in Singapore, Japan, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand, and Canada. The UAE’s visa waiver program has been extended to include Indian residents from these countries, eliminating visa application processes and reducing travel costs.
Effective February 13, this new policy simplifies travel by:
Eliminating visa application hassles
Reducing visa expenses
Offering greater travel flexibility
According to Subair Thekepurathvalappil, Senior Manager at Wisefox Tourism, this update will encourage seasonal travel. “Many Indians living in Canada visit Dubai in winter to escape harsh weather, while Australians prefer Dubai during their summer months for a change in climate,” he noted.
This policy also benefits families. Previously, a family of four or five had to pay Dh500 per person for a 30-day visa. Now, they can stay in Dubai for up to two months without extra costs.
Libin Varghese, Sales Director at Rooh Travels, highlighted that many Indian professionals in these six countries frequently travel to Dubai for exhibitions, trade shows, and corporate meetings.
“Dubai is a global business hub. Now, Indian professionals based in these countries can travel freely without worrying about visa approvals,” he explained.
For frequent travelers like Ruksar M from Bangalore, this update removes a major travel burden. She often stops in Dubai before heading to Canada for several months.
“My UAE trips required extensive visa planning. Now, my journey will be stress-free, and I can even extend my stay with the two-month visa-free option,” she shared.
Faster immigration process
More affordable travel for families
Hassle-free business travel to Dubai
Extended stay options for Indian travelers
With Dubai’s strategic location and growing international connectivity, this new visa waiver program makes visiting the UAE easier than ever for Indian expats in these key countries.
