On Friday, August 9, the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) issued a yellow warning for thunderstorms and rain due to cumulonimbus clouds, in effect until 8 PM. A yellow alert was also issued for dust. While most of the UAE is expected to have fair to partly cloudy weather, conditions may become dusty at times.

Earlier in the day, light rain and heavy drizzles were reported in some parts of the UAE, particularly along the eastern coast, as shown in videos shared by Storm Centre. NCM indicated that rainfall could occur in some eastern and southern areas due to convective cloud formations.

Temperatures are forecasted to rise, potentially reaching up to 48℃ in the interior regions. In Abu Dhabi and Dubai, temperatures may climb to 46℃ and 44℃ respectively, while in the mountains, they could drop as low as 21℃. Humidity levels are expected to range from 15 percent in the mountains to 85 percent along the coastal areas and islands.

The UAE will also experience light to moderate winds, occasionally becoming fresh, which could cause dust and sand to blow. The sea conditions are expected to be slight to moderate in both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea.
