Rain is expected in some areas of the country this afternoon, with showers potentially continuing through Sunday, according to the UAE’s Meteorology Department.
The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has indicated that parts of the eastern and southern Emirates are likely to experience some drizzle today.
Friday afternoon saw rain accompanied by ice pellets, though it remains uncertain whether thick clouds in some areas will bring hailstones again today.
Despite this, most regions across the country will enjoy clear to partly cloudy skies.
Winds are forecasted to be light to moderate, ranging from 15 to 30 km/h, but could occasionally pick up to 40 km/h, causing dusty conditions.
Temperatures could reach up to 47 degrees Celsius in parts of Abu Dhabi and 42 degrees Celsius in Dubai.
The waves in both the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman are expected to remain light.
