Dubai Government Employees to Enjoy
Four-Day Eid Al Adha Weekend in 2025
Government
employees across the UAE, including Dubai, are set to enjoy a four-day
weekend for Eid Al Adha this year. According to a recent
announcement by the Federal
Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR), the official
Eid Al Adha holiday in Dubai and the UAE will be observed
from 9 Dhul
Hijjah to 12 Dhul Hijjah.
This
means that public
sector workers in Dubai will be off duty from Thursday,
June 5 to Sunday, June 8, returning to work on Monday,
June 9. The extended break offers residents and citizens in
Dubai a perfect opportunity to spend quality time with family or explore the
city’s Eid festivities.
The
announcement follows the successful sighting of the Dhul
Hijjah crescent in the UAE on the evening of Tuesday,
May 28, as confirmed by the official UAE
moonsighting committee.
As
a result:
·
Day
of Arafah will
be observed on Wednesday,
June 5
·
Eid Al Adha in Dubai will commence on Friday, June 6
This holiday schedule is part of the
UAE government’s broader commitment to work-life balance, providing public
sector staff with ample time to celebrate Islamic festivals in Dubai with
loved ones.
