UAE Condemns Iranian Strike on Qatar’s Al Udeid Air Base, Calls for De-escalation in Gulf Region

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has strongly condemned the recent attack by the Iranian Revolutionary Guards on Al Udeid Air Base in the neighboring and sisterly nation of Qatar, labeling it a blatant violation of Qatari sovereignty and a serious breach of international law and the United Nations Charter.

In an official statement, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed deep concern over the assault, emphasizing the UAE’s firm rejection of any act that threatens Qatar’s national security or destabilizes the region. The Ministry reaffirmed the UAE’s full solidarity with Qatar, pledging unwavering support for all necessary measures to ensure the safety and protection of Qatar’s citizens and residents.

The UAE, a leading voice for peace and stability in the Gulf region, including cities like Dubai, stressed the urgent need to halt military escalation immediately. The Ministry warned that continued acts of aggression could further destabilize the region and have serious repercussions for global peace and security.

Reiterating the importance of diplomacy, the statement called for all parties to pursue peaceful solutions and embrace the principles of good neighbourliness and mutual respect. The UAE emphasized that serious and inclusive dialogue remains the only viable path to resolving current tensions and preserving the stability of the UAE, Qatar, and the wider Gulf region.
